June Wrap Up

Hey guys! It is the 1st of August when I am writing this! 🀣 Let’s start of August by reviewing June and then we will review July next week. How does that sound? Good? Good. πŸ˜‰

Life

At the very beginning of June, I went to a friend’s birthday party. We went to an art studio and did splatter painting and after that we got pizza and ice cream. It was a lot of fun! There was another night where I played Murder in the Dark with my youth group. That was also so much fun! Mid June I helped out with my church’s Fine Arts Camp. There were games, crafts, singing, and more fun! I had fun doing it, but as an introvert, I was pretty tired by the end. At the very end of June, I went to the lake for the day with my Youth Group. That was also a whole lot of fun! As for the regular weekly things I had Church, Bible Study, and gymnastics.

I also had some fun family things. Lots of games were played in the evenings like Uno and Solitaire. My Dad helped me redo my closet by putting in new shelves. I had fun reorganizing it! My Grammy took us to our local(ish) theater, and we saw the Broadway production of Frozen. It was really good and well done! My sister had horse camp and had a mini horse show we went to at the end of the week. We also spent many weekends at my other sister’s softball tournaments. Silas got a haircut. I did some baking which I would be willing to share if you would like.

Pictures

I apologize if the format of the pictures is weird. Since I have run out of storage, I am trying something new for pictures.

Group Solitaire
Silas found a bunny while we were on a walk.
I pulled my dresser drawer out and she hopped in with her mouse toy.
If you look closely, you can see the blur of the chipmunk she is watching.
I baked a cookie brownie s’more combo. Would you be interested in the recipe?

Books

Finished: When Life Gives You O.J. by Erica S. Perl — This was one of the books that I read when I was younger and that I wanted to reread before I got rid of it. It is a cute book.

DNF: P.S. Send More Cookies by Martha Freeman — This one I hadn’t read but wanted to before we got rid of it. I started it, but it then sat for weeks and I decided not to finish it.

Overall, I did not get a lot of reading done in June.

Reviewing Goals

  • Continue regular heart to heart I don’t remember doing heart to heart as often as I did in May.
  • Read daily As evidenced by the lack of books read, I did not read every day.
  • Do something blogging related at least every other day I don’t remember how much time I spent doing blogging related things, but I did post a lot! So I think I partially completed this one.
  • Spend at least 10 minutes outside daily I spent some time outside, but I don’t think it was daily.
  • Minimize daily screen time to less than 3 hours a day I don’t know…I don’t have access to my screen time averages from June anymore…
  • Work on my room (I’m hoping to have it redone a little bit this summer) Yes! I redid my closet and did a little room shopping.
  • Develop a solid summer routine It is the end of summer and I never got a solid routine. πŸ˜‚ I did, however, get into a running routine! Although that might have been more in July I think.

Setting Goals

I didn’t set goals for July.

Thanks for reading! I will ideally have July’s recap out on Monday. Have a great day!

Edit: I had an idea for a post while writing this post, but I don’t know if it would be interesting or helpful, so what are your thoughts on a post titled something along the lines of How I Make My Monthly Wrap Ups or My Process for Writing Monthly Wrap Ups? Also, does anyone want me to share the recipe for the cookie brownie s’more combo?

      1. Ok, I’m wondering if it has something to do with the fact that I used the image link instead of inserting the actual picture since I am out of storage.
